Elizabeth Flores has been educating herself and others about the healing benefits of essential oil since 1996. Her interest was piqued when she visited an M.D. in Phoenix, Arizona who surprised her by recommending essential oils to treat a chronic health problem. She was amazed at the results. Soon afterwards, the same doctor recommended another essential oil for an acute problem that usually requires surgery. The problem disappeared and the surgery was not necessary.
Having a background in science and as a laboratory technician, coupled with a long-standing fascination with natural remedies, Elizabeth embarked on an enthusiastic study of the history, chemistry, and efficacy of essential oils. She is the founder of SunTeam Health Resources, one of the largest distributors for the world leader in therapeutic grade essential oils, Young Living essential oils.
Elizabeth committed her life to Christ in 1980 and became involved in the crisis pregnancy center (CPC) movement. She was one of the founders of the first CPC in the Phoenix area, where she served as its first director. As a national trainer for the Christian Action Council, she traveled to cities throughout the United States assisting new CPCs and teaching training seminars. In 2000, Elizabeth helped to reopen the CPC in Santa Cruz, California and currently serves as chairman of the board.
She lives near Santa Cruz with her husband and elderly father. She has a daughter who is an RN and lives in Portland, Oregon with her husband and four sons. All of them, as well as her sisters, nieces, and nephews, and their children have been using essential oils for years!
