I hope that is correct! What a neat giveaway! I love essential oils!

Exodus 25:6
Is it Exodus 30:1 ??
I can’t think of anything before that, though I am pretty sure there is something.
Here is hoping!
Good try, Madeleine! You can try again, if you’d like. :-)
CORRECT ANSWER REMOVED
….I think!
Is it in Exodus 25 where God is giving instructions for setting up the temple?
This looks like a great book.
Good try, Kim! There’s an even earlier reference though. Feel free to try again!
Stacy, when you say “earlier reference” do you mean earlier in the chronology of time, or in the chronological order in which the books of the Bible are listed?
Genesis 28:16-22 ?
Genesis 28:18
I hope that’s correct. Sounds like a great book!
I used some essential oils during childbirth and recovery last month and they were very soothing.
Sorry ladies, while Genesis 28:18 talks about Jacob pouring oil, it doesn’t specify essential oil. Many believe that he was referring to olive oil. Feel free to try again!
BTW, the time stamp on your blog comments is inaccurate. :)
Hi!
Is it CORRECT ANSWER REMOVED?
I think! I hope so! :)
Well, there’s Jacob anointing the stone he used as a pillow the next morning when he set it up as a pillar in remembrance of the place where God spoke to him, calling it The House of God. :) Genesis 28:18
It depends on how technical you want to get about it…but I’m guessing you’re going for Genesis 1:29???

I would love to have this book for my little ones!
Is it CORRECT ANSWER REMOVED? I hope that’s it!

Is it CORRECT ANSWER REMOVED?
I believe it is CORRECT ANSWER REMOVED.
I think Genesis 1:11.
Hmm maybe CORRECT ANSWER REMOVED
Genesis 1:29 ?
Oh, wait! Maybe it’s Genesis 1:11 And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.
HINT: The verse actually names the precious oil.
My guess is Genesis 1:11, 1:29, or 2:12
Is it Gen. 15:2-3, when Jacob was embalmed?

Is it Exodus 25:6 where it refers to spices for the anointing oil?
Oh! I would enjoy giving this to my niece who had a baby just 10 days ago.
Ok. The clues are:
Mentioned earlier than Exodus 25
The oil is actually named
And it’s actually used in an “Essential Oil” capacity. Not just as an “anointing” oil
————-
I’m embarrassed and frustrated that I haven’t figured this out, yet. I’ve been trying, really!
Mentioned earlier than Exodus 25 – Yes.
The oil is actually named – Yes
And it’s actually used in an “Essential Oil” capacity. Not just as an “anointing” oil – It’s not actually being used in the verse.

The correct answer is Genesis 37:25 – “And they sat down to eat a meal. Then they lifted their eyes and looked, and there was a company of Ishmaelites, coming from Gilead with their camels, bearing spices, balm, and myrrh, on their way to carry them down to Egypt.”
