Three Signs that Christians have been Desensitized by Feminism

callmemadam2

I’ve been thinking about the way we’re all so prone to acclimate to our surroundings. We are indoctrinated on a daily basis, often, without knowing it. That’s why it’s so important to stay in the Word of God. But it’s more than just reading it; we also need to absorb it, and apply it to every area of life. We need to evaluate all of our choices in life–all of …

Stained Sheets: Washed in the Blood – Part 3

Read Part 2 HERE – Divided We Fall: The Great Dance

Throughout history there have been tyrants who have abused their authority and ignored their duty to selflessly guide those under their charge. Likewise, there are husbands who ignore or abuse their call to sacrificially lead their wives and children. A tyrant abuses his position of authority to oppress and use, rather than to protect and build up. Partly because …

“Why I Walked Away from Being a Mom”

Author, Reiko Rizzuto, left her family, her husband and two small children, to study in Japan. While she was away, she decided she didn’t want to be married any longer, and began to also question her desire to be a mother.

Watch this heartbreaking testimony – the epitome of a self absorbed life…

The Truth about Women that Feminists Don’t Want You to Know

The recent naming of Nancy Pelosi as the “most powerful woman in American history” has sparked national discussion on both the history of women in America and the nature of woman’s power. As Speaker of the House, Mrs. Pelosi holds the highest civic position any American woman …

A Couple of "Interesting" Feminist Quotes…

While I am very glad that some of the early feminists were pro-life, they sure did have some wacky ideas about personal responsibility. It seems we can’t sin without blaming it on somebody.

“When a man steals to satisfy hunger, we may safely conclude that there is something wrong in society – so when a woman destroys the life of her unborn child, it is an evidence that either by education or circumstances she has been greatly …

Should Feminists get the Glory?

I have listened with interest as many Christian women applaud the early feminists for relieving the various injustices against women.

I remember the deep indignation I felt while watching Sense and Sensibility when Mrs Henry Dashwood and her daughters Elinor, Marianne, and Margaret were left in dire circumstances after Mrs. Dashwood’s husband died. …

The Real Women’s Liberation Movement: Christianity

I’m re-posting the following article from 2008. I have heard some argue that we should give feminism credit for many of the liberties that women enjoy today. However, we must remember that God’s ways are not our ways (Is. 55:8). And if we attempt to correct sin by using man’s methods, we implement only temporary “fixes,” while introducing new, and sometimes worse, problems. I believe this is true of feminism.

Feminism was a bandaid that carried …

The Real Women’s Liberation Movement: Christianity

“Despite the anti-Christian prejudice evident in much of the feminist movement, it is to the teachings and example of Jesus Christ that women owe most of their freedoms. The advent of Christianity raised the dignity, freedom and rights of women to levels never before known in any other culture or religion. Indeed, as one historian put it: ‘The birth of Jesus …

Daughter Rejects Famous Mother’s Rabid Feminism

“She’s revered as a trail-blazing feminist and author. Alice Walker touched the lives of a generation of women. A champion of women’s rights, she has always argued that motherhood is a form of servitude. But one woman didn’t buy in to Alice’s beliefs – her daughter, Rebecca, 38.

Here the writer describes what it was like to grow up as the daughter of a cultural icon, and why she feels so blessed to be the sort of woman …
