About Stacy
I’m a pastor’s wife, homeschool mom, part-time author, and ever-learning aromatherapy student turned Young Living Royal Crown Diamond (Independent) distributor! While traveling with my family, I have had the privilege
of encouraging women all over the globe on issues pertaining to marriage, homemaking, culture, natural health, and essentialoils.
I became a Christian in my early twenties, after a lifetime of depression, wandering, and rebellion. I didn’t “find” Jesus; He found me, kicking and screaming. I am here only because of God’s Grace. Period. I am so undeserving; yet, by His own sacrificial death and resurrection, Jesus overwhelmed me with His mercy and made me His. I truly am forever in His debt.
My husband, Pastor James McDonald, and I, together with our children, moved from Southeast Texas to the cornfields of the Midwest. I am a native Texan. I love spicy food and relaxing by the lake. I can’t stand fire ants, traffic, or bullying.
Since moving to the Midwest, I have enjoyed the four seasons, cooler summers, and wonderful new friends! Five of our ten children are married and have collectively given us 10 grandchildren. Yes, I am still in the trenches with you; but, I am willing to share what I’ve learned so far on this exciting walk of faith!

Stacy, What a blessing you are and what fun to see the beautiful family you have…In His Joy, Betsey
Just “happened” upon “Your Sacred Calling” through a Facebook friend connection. What a delight to find you! Thank you for sharing that amazing testimony. It appears that God has abundantly blessed you with an awesome family.
Blessings!

I notice that you mentioned ‘a lifetime of depression…’ . In my adult walk I’ve gone through so many ups and downs of not feeling worthy, qualified, up to par, capable. Then I’ll discover that others ‘don’t know how I do it.” I have to wonder…’My goodness! If they think that about ME…” ???? smile. Then I have these wonderful moments when God truly reaches into my heart and makes me FEEL incredibly worthy, for the simple fact the I am his creation, given the gifts that HE wishes me to have, and that he sent His Son to lay His Life down for me. I share this simply because I think that probably every woman, wife, and mother feels inferior to ALL the other women around her!
If I could get this Worthiness across to women our homes would be such a joyful place.
By the way, I thank both you and Jennie for writing Passionate Housewives. Each of my four girls will be getting their own copy. I also have the Maidens book. I’ve been blessed and encouraged.

Such a beautiful family!! Thank you for your blog!
what is a tree roach?
Raising Maidens sounds perfect for my sister, a mother of 3 young girls. Will you or your husband ever write one for boys? (I am a mother of boys only)
What a blessing to have found you! I have already bought your books. I had to buy extra copies for others. God Bless your beautiful family.
I also had some questions about Home Schooling in CO, since we are moving there :) I already home school in NYS, {nightmare}. God Bless, and I hope you can contact me through email.

Your family is beautiful! We’ve been visiting your friends church, The Servens! We hope to make it to a Refomation Faire one of these years! May the Lord bless you and your dh and bless you all as I know you bless other!
Thank you, Dana! The Servens are a precious family – I’m so glad you are able to worship and fellowship with them each week! Hope to see you at Ref Day sometime!
Stacy it was such a pleasure to meet you at the Reformation Faire!
With just a bit of encouragement from the Servens the week before, dh decided that we would go!
It was really fun! Such a blessing to meet Jill P and Tonya C in person after so many years!
We arent able to fellowship with the Servens every week, as they are 3 hours away, but we have made it at least twice a month for the past two months! They are wonderful and the fellowship is worth every minute of the drive!
Thank you for your ministry and your work putting on the Faire! I know how much it can be!
Oh! And thanks for preparing some lavender for us!
Blessings and peace, Dana
Ah, we’re still stuck here in southeast Texas with the tree roaches, sauna-heat, and 2 seasons! ;) Thank you for sharing your testimony with us and allowing us a peek into your family. God be glorified!
What? There are four seasons?! (from a fellow SE Texan)
:)
Wow, Your Site Gives A Blessing!
Have been greatly depressed about my situation at home. There never seems to be quality time for me nor the things of our home.
I read your article (right top) by Martin Luther and it blessed me today! He was a great man. I feel so overwhelmed with work and haven’t had a vacation in 6 years – its always about work. I’m mentally drained but I must not blame my spouse and that is what I’ve been doing. I’m always worried about myself it seems but reading what Martin Luther said, I need to read the WORD more.
Thanks for your words and your lovely site. I’d love to add you to our new site http://www.acceptingtruth2012.com . When you have the time.
Many Blessings Upon You and Yours,
Betty Lou
