It’s Really Black and White

Print Friendly

Pain, dominance, humiliation, and bondage presented as pleasure? Fornication packaged in paperback for women lacking discretion? Warning: Sin lurks in the heart. Seems pretty black and white to me. No shades of grey. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, be glad. If you do know, consider…  Matt. 5:28, Ephesians 5:12, Phil. 4:8, 2 Tim. 3:6, Heb. 13:4, Rom. 6:12, 1 Cor. 6:18, Col. 3:5,  and the list goes on.

I was JUST talking about this! Women need to grow up and stop taking it so lightly. I even know of two self-claimed believers, unmarried, who post about male dominance all the time and how it arouses them, and use severe examples constantly to illustrate how “natural” extreme forms of it are (they also claim that when men and women have sex, it’s an automatic domination of the woman and there’s a sense of “taking of property” for the man). They’ve lost more than one friend with their prideful attitudes, still refusing to consider whether anything’s wrong with their beliefs.

  4. I have to say that I had no idea what 50 shades of grey was until about 6 weeks ago when a friend from highschool posted on FB that she had just finished the book. Then another friend posted about it. So I looked it up on the internet and was astonished at what I found. I could not believe that these two friends, who have children and one is expecting, would read such. About a week ago, Fox News reported that a publisher is planning to give classics such as Jane Eyre and Wuthering Heights the 50 shades of grey treatment so that thosse books would be modern and have more appeal. I was dumb struck.
