Seven Awful Things
I love this Judy Rogers song! I’m desperately hunting the school room for our copy of “Go to the Ant.” My older children LOVED these songs when they were young, and I’m realizing my younger ones are missing out! Check out Judy’s website for wonderful songs for your children that will help hide the Word and His ways in their hearts!
Seven Awful Things
There are six things – even seven, that the Lord hates – things He cannot stand!
Proud looking eyes
A lying tongue
Hands that shed innocent blood
A heart that thinks of wicked things to do
And feet that run to evil, too
Anyone who loves to lie about others
And the one who causes trouble with his brothers
God is love – we know that’s true
But God hates things that we should hate too
Like proud looking eyes
A lying tongue
Hands that shed innocent blood
A heart that thinks of wicked things to do
And feet that run to evil, too
Anyone who loves to lie about others
And the one who causes trouble with his brothers
There are six things – even seven, that the Lord hates – things He cannot stand!
Proud looking eyes
A lying tongue
Hands that shed innocent blood
A heart that thinks of wicked things to do
And feet that run to evil, too
Anyone who loves to lie about others
And the one who causes trouble with his brothers

Oh my! Thanks so much for sharing this… we have some scripture memory song CD's and they do help the children memorize the passages, but they aren't really anything any of us would ever choose to listen to, just for the pleasure of it. This song was really pretty, very pleasant indeed! I'm going to check out her site later tonight?
Like you, I too remembered some Judy songs a few weeks ago.
I have set off to find the misplaced Judy Rogers CDs and am looking to buy the ones we do not own.
My eyes well with tears at the precious memory of her songs….
"teach me while my heart is tender…"
Thanks for rekindling our joy for Judy's music.

Thank you so much for sharing this song. I have never heard of Judy until reading your blog. I really want to get her cd's for my children. She has a wonderful singing voice and the music is beautiful. Of course, the message goes with out saying, is impeccable (since it comes from God's Word). What an inspiration.
This is fantastic!
Thank you for this link-I've seen her CD's listed but was hesitant to purchase w/o hearing first.
We've also enjoyed the CD's produced by the Harrow family at singtheword.com
We love Judy Rogers!! My husband and I love having an easier way to remember these things ourselves!! The children love these cds, too! They are great baby presents!
Seems like a really good way to help children commit to memory Scripture verses.
Great, great music! As a composer's wife I really listen to music, and I liked that!
It's nice to find someone singing kids' songs without a huge backbeat :)
The excerpt of "Pure in Heart on her website is very pretty.
Another really nice "conservative" lullaby CD is "I Love You" by Integrity Music. Integrity is generally pretty contemporary, but this CD is just so precious!
God Bless!

Very folk-songy.
Have you heard of Seeds Family Worship? Awesome!
Looks cute! Stacy, thanks for having your library up; I love looking at it and just tonight found the beautiful book "Pearl of Beauty". I can't WAIT to read it!
A little book update of my own: I just found a new gorgeous children's book called "The Princess and the Three Knights" by Karen Kingsbury, about a princess and her father trying to choose the best husband for her. The result shows classicaly just what makes a Godly husband. Also, the wonderful Harris brothers have another awesome book coming out, "Start Here: A Guide to doing hard things wherever you are right now". This one doesn't come out until March (boo) but it's categorized already on Amazon and is already listed on my online book recommendations.
I really like this song. I'll have to look for more of her songs online and maybe buy a CD. I have been looking for Scripture songs like these. Thanks for sharing and happy Thanksgiving! :o)
You have Got to check out Jamie Soles!!! His intelligent, scriptural music is so great! he does both children's and adult CDs and his children's music is just as much fun for adults! Find it at solmusic.ca and you will really like his pure Biblical music. Check it out. Susan
Thanks for sharing this recommendation! I'm mentally storing up all the great Bible song CD picks I've read about on blogs lately, and look forward to purchasing some of them for my baby son in future years.
