It saddens my heart to think so many people were deceived by this man!
Praise the Lord for being our Hope and our Lord in all things!
Angie
I still just shake my head every time I see him. I can’t believe people actually voted this man in. People professing to be Christians voted this man in! I am so sad that our country is going in the direction it is. I pray that we will turn from this direction and once again be a nation under God!
Hi Stacy,
I have a question, and maybe it’s been answered here already and in such case, please just point me in the right direction!
I am a mom of 4 and I have a daughter who is not quite 7 years old. How early and what approach did you take to teaching your daughters about courtship?
My daughter has used the term “boyfriend” and some of her play has got me concerned.
For a little background, my daughter is homeschooled and does not play with children I don’t know or don’t know their parents. We are careful with her “social” life. (Obviously not careful enough).
I just don’t want to approach this matter all wrong. I honestly feel rather lost! I need wisdom and just don’t trust just “anybody” to offer me advice on this.
Thank you so much!

It’s difficult to not be horrified by his lies, but what else should I expect from a nonbeliever?
The Lord watches over the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish.
They are like chaff, which the wind blows away.
Psalm 1:6,4
Praise God!
The only hope we have is in the Lord and thats the best hope we can have and the best place to be hoping in him not in man. God knows what he is doing by allowing this president to be elected. perhaps we all have put a lot of hope in man, perhaps we haven;t prayed as we ought and looked to God alone and clinged to him as we ought? perhaps we have just been living our christian lives with such ease? Im not sure but I do know that all things work together for those who love Him and I do know he is an ever present help in time of need. I also know that he works all things for our soul good.
Im so,so saddened & broken hearted by all these changes. But my hope is in the Great almighty God and what a great hope we have in Him that despite such almost overwhelming feeling of hopelesness we might feel as his people at such injustes and sin we can yet by faith have a great peace thats there for our taking knowing he is in control of it all.
I pray for our president that God would have mercy and save him and have mercy on us as a country.
A quick story…my husband and i went away to celebrate our anniversary in a very democratic state and we stayed and dined at a very quaint/old fashion B&B. As soon as we walked in at the main center table in there beautiful dinning hall (where they display and advertise renting the hall for wedding receptions and such) was an advertisment for "gay unions" to take place there. We were so,so dissapointed. And then when we dined there that evening the waiter mentioned to us the "news" about them being able to have unions there and how they will be bringing in the money- oh boy our hearts just sank to the bottom.
I share this because it's still fresh in my mind and because we all need to also be in prayer about this too. May God keep us and help us to show the love of christ to others and share the good news to the many, many lost in our country. We aren't of this world but we are in it. Im convicted that I haven't even come close to share the gospel message as I ought. We all need to be missionary minded especially in this dark age- God will help us! May god raise our sons to do mighty things for our God!! As a mom of 4 I know I can get out and show love and kindness and bring my kids with me to serve in such ways too and pray God would use us to love the unloved and love even the wicked as God commands us too. God's love pierces right through to the heart. Who will do it if we don't? They need to see that love through His people.
Thank you so,so much for posting this you tube!!!
God bless!
Obama’s problems go far deeper than mere unbelief, Ginger. And the frightening thing is, most of his followers know perfectly well what his beliefs are; they weren’t fooled at all. Even certain Christians are to blame for his election, by guilt-tripping others away from voting for McCain.
What problem is worse than rejecting the Truth??
Not every non-believer is capable of child murder, blatant racial hatred, and nasty rumors to get their way. That was my point.
Actually, every one of us is capable of each of those things. It’s called total depravity.
Yes, Obama is a wicked man; but, our God is in control.
“A man’s heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps.” (Proverbs 16:9, KJV)
“The king’s heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will.” (Proverbs 21:1, KJV)
How alarming. Does the Bible say we’re all totally depraved?
John Piper explains Total Depravity:
“When we speak of man’s depravity we mean man’s natural condition apart from any grace exerted by God to restrain or transform man.
There is no doubt that man could perform more evil acts toward his fellow man than he does. But if he is restrained from performing more evil acts by motives that are not owing to his glad submission to God, then even his “virtue” is evil in the sight of God.
Romans 14:23 says, “Whatever does not proceed from faith is sin.” This is a radical indictment of all natural “virtue” that does not flow from a heart humbly relying on God’s grace.
The terrible condition of man’s heart will never be recognized by people who assess it only in relation to other men. Romans 14:23 makes plain that depravity is our condition in relation to God primarily, and only secondarily in relation to man. Unless we start here we will never grasp the totality of our natural depravity.”

Thanks for the info, Stacy.
Like him or not, God put him in office for a reason. Work with it, let it inspire you to do more instead of complaining and getting scared.
And to the poster who said, “People professing to be Christians voted this man in!”
I AM a Christian, and I helped vote him in. You do not know me; you do not know my heart; you don’t know my walk with Christ.
We may not know your heart, Kristi, but we’re well acquainted with the condition of Obama’s heart, as well as his walk with an almost certifiably insane racist man and his cold-blooded treatment of late-term babies. I can only hope you weren’t aware of these things when you voted him in.
“Like him or not, God put him in office for a reason”
He also put Saul and Ahab into power for a reason, but that didn’t stop Him from later toppling them from their thrones.
I cannot believe that every individual is capable of any and every sin, Mary. Maybe that’s directly connected with the Reformed Theology, which I’m not a part of.
Jennifer,
That’s not reformed theology; that’s scripture. Mary quoted several different Bible verses in her post. She just didn’t reference them. The concept of depravity comes from the Word of God, not John Calvin. :)
Hi – I just recently found your blog and have been checking out some of your recent posts. I had been wondering what people were complaining about when they talked about all the changes Obama had made (I don’t have television and avoid most news online). The video didn’t support many of the arguments presented so I’ll have to continue doing some of my own research. At least I now know what issues people are complaining about…
My only real comment on the video – if people stop giving to charities because they no longer get a tax credit, then I am saddened and disappointed. I am married, no children, no house as of yet. I pay tithes and contribute as possible and yet it’s impossible for me to claim these gifts on my taxes as it doesn’t exceed my standard deduction. I give anyway. People should not be motivated by tax breaks to give. I hope giving doesn’t drop.
Oh, and I just wanted to post about something President Obama has done that has personally benefited my husband and I. :)
I was laid off in October and we decided that I was going to be a stay at home wife and prepare for kids. Unfortunately, my husband was laid off right before Christmas. Both of us are searching for jobs. My husband is on unemployment. President Obama passed a bill that allowed our unemployment to increase each week. We desperately needed the money. We are still barely surviving, but the additional unemployment has helped a LOT.
Cassandra, Obama is not your provider. God is your provider. :)
Since you haven’t read up on Obama’s changes, I’ll tell you that the concern of Christians isn’t about tax credits, but about the life of babies and the use of their dead bodies for science. Embryonic stems cells haven’t cured any diseases, but Obama wants to make sure we are harvesting all the cells of aborted babies. He has pushed late term abortions so that living breathing babies with a head full of hair and fingernails can be killed. It isn’t about taxes. It’s really about the changes Obama has made to the value of life.
I saw no Scripture quotes in that post, Ginger, save these: “There is none good and none righteous. We are all sinners saved by God’s grace through faith — not through what we do”. Neither of which claim that everyone is capable of everything. My last wish is to debate this, just so you know; I just want my sufficient reason for believing what I do to be clear.
Ginger, thanks for your response. I didn’t mean that President Obama is our provider. Not in the least. We can only rely on God. However, I do think God used President Obama in that situation to help us. We NEED the extra money. God uses people to help provide for His children. In this case, President Obama is the medium through which we are receiving the assistance.
Sorry for the misunderstanding on the tax credits. It seemed the video was created by Christians, talking about issues that are of concern. Since taxes were included on the video, I commented that I hope people don’t stop giving just because they don’t receive credit. That should not be our motive to giving. I am aware of the abortion issue but I try not to discuss it on the internet except with people who know me really well or in real life. :) My past experiences with internet debates show that feelings WILL get hurt on the abortion issue.
