2008 Reformation Day Faire
Morton, Illinois
October 24-25, 2008

Scotland visits Central Illinois! Join Christian families from around the nation as we celebrate the amazing work of God’s providential hand during the Scottish Reformation! Make new friends as you enjoy a wholesome time of learning, adventure, music, feasting, games, and Christian fellowship. Imagine the heather dancing in the wind; looming castles; the music of bagpipes; and stirring tales of danger, faithfulness, and devotion to God.
Learn about Scottish Reformers, such as John Knox, Patrick Hamilton, and George Wishart. Celebrate with us the victory of King Jesus and the Truth which shook the world in this turbulent, yet triumphant era in history.
Nathan has presented hundreds of concerts at camps, churches, and coffee houses around the nation, where his music is appreciated by both the young and old. His goal is to encourage a multi-generational vision for the family and the Kingdom of Peace through a truly musical presentation of the Scriptures and transparent snapshots of life that are convicting, yet full of hope. http://www.nathanclarkgeorge.com/DATES AND TIMES: Friday, October 24, 7:00-9:30 pm—Saturday, October 25, 10:30 am to 5:30 pm

FOOD AND FELLOWSHIP: This year, Alwan’s & Sons will be providing grilled meats for a very reasonable price. Grilled onsite for your pleasure: chicken, pork chops, rib eye, bratwurst and more (chips available)! Alwan’s is a family owned meat company that we highly recommend! Please take advantage of their delicious and reasonably priced selections! You may bring snacks and sides (for your own family), however no refrigeration will be available.
COSTUMES AND ATTIRE: Please keep in mind, this is a Christian family event, so it is important to dress in a way that honors the Lord. While period costumes are encouraged, they are not required. However, please ensure that costume selections are modest and appropriate. If you have questions or need costume suggestions, email mcmom@familyreformation.org. You can even wear your kilt!
COST: This event is a ministry of Providence Church, however, registration is required! If you would like to donate to the event to help offset costs, a treasure chest will be placed at the castle gate for this purpose. We will also take up a special offering on Friday evening to help cover the expenses of Nathan and his family.
REGISTRATION: For complimentary tickets, please call the office at 309-387-2600 or send us an email at info@providencepeoria.org. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
