Guest Speaker: Maggie Erber

Roger and Maggie have been married for 32 years, are the parents of eight children, ages 11-30, and have home educated since 1981. Three of their children have courted, are happily married, and are now training their own children for the Lord. Maggie absolutely loves being a grandmother to her six grandchildren, thus far.

After over 20 years of involvement in homeschool leadership, Roger now serves as pastor of a church in their hometown of Harvard, Illinois. Their heart is to encourage and equip families to be disciple makers, training up the next generations for the Lord, and advancing His kingdom.

“The Woman’s Beautiful and Influential Role”

What would happen if today’s woman took up God’s mandate for her, and poured herself into her home and her family? How can we be stepping stones for the next generation – so they can flourish as Christians and advance the Kingdom of God even further? Ladies, ours is a beautiful role – and a most influential one! By God’s grace, we can daily bring beauty to this angry and hurting world and honor the name of Christ. Join Maggie Erber as she teaches and inspires you to take up the mantle, and be encouraged!

Maggie with her daughters, daughters-in-law, and grand daughters!

“Weary Women”

Join Stacy as she reminds women where to turn during times of weariness and trials. Sharing from her own life experiences, Stacy explains from Scripture how turning to the wrong source for relief from our trials will actually add to our burden, rather than relieve it! Oh, Stacy, how I want to attend this tea. I would love to be there, to give you a big hug, and to be encouraged by an uplifting message. If only that thing called miles didn’t keep me from attendance!! Maybe one day I’ll be able to have tea with you.

    Blessings,
    Patti

Stacy, I wish we were within driving range. Your tea sounds so lovely and encouraging. Any chance recordings will be availabe from the speeches? It wouldn’t replace the food and fellowship but it would be something :)

  5. Stacy McDonald says:

    Dear Hannah and Mainmom,

So sorry you won’t be able to make it! It would have been great to meet you! As to your question about taping, we are working on it. If it works out, I’ll let you know.

And Cassandra, that’s fantastic! I’ll look forward to meeting you!!!

  6. Kimberly says:

How lovely!! It just too far from Denver though! I’d love to come otherwise. Thank you, dear ladies, for creating events such as these!

    Sounds wonderful!

Do you have an artist and title for the beautiful picture at the top of the post?

    Thanks!

Yes, I also wish I could attend. I am on the last chapter of Passionate….. What a BLESSING your book has been!!! It has recharged my “battery” and given new strength. I know this luncheon will do the same for those who attend.

Maybe you could video the luncheon speakers and place it on you.tube? That would be just wonderful!!

Once again, thank you for writing your book. I am one of a few women in our church who believe firmly in SAHM but am treated as if I am “behind the times.” I know we are doing the right thing because of how the Lord continues to bless our faithfulness. God bless you and your family this week. I love your blog and look forward to reading.

    Hi Rebecca,

If you click on the painting, it will take you to art.com where you can purchase it from them. The artist’s name is Carl Holsoe; and if you liked that piece, there’s another of his you would probably like here:

    Kimberly, Ruth, and Mrs. Rabe,

I wish you could attend! Perhaps next time? We’re toying with the idea of putting together a family camp next year where whole families could come for a 3 or 4 day event. We would try to plan a ladies tea in the midst of it. Perhaps some of the “long distance” ladies could attend that way!

Also, we’ll be planning a mother daughter tea later in the year.

    Amanda,

How wonderful you’ll be able to make it! I’ll look forward to meeting you!

  13. Renee says:

Stacy, I hope your able to tape the speakers for the tea and make that available. If so let me know.

Oh, I wish I could be there too! I just googled and it’s almost 7 hours away from me…pooh! Maybe next year.

I know this will be an encouragement to many!

  16. Holly says:

Aaaaah I am in the same boat as others…NC is just too far away. Also wanted to let you know that we are enjoying Raising Maidens of Virtue and I am beginning Passionate Housewives….I so wish I had had these materials long ago, but now my daughters are being blessed by them. Thank you so much. Oh another idea, how about some of the recipes of the things being served at the tea. They sound delicious.

    Blessings,
    Holly

  17. Danita says:

I am so enjoying your blog! I wish I could attend your tea, but it is not possible. I was astounded to see tht you offer gluten-free alternatives on your menu! God bless you from a Celiac and a Titus 2 woman!
