Everything’s Comin’ up Babies!
We’ve been having a delightful visit with our daughter, Christa, and our new little grand baby, Joshua. Daniel will be here next week. It will be good to have everyone together again!
Lookin‘ more like his daddy everyday!
And then there’s MY little baby…
Instead of being “Baby William,” suddenly my little cuddle bug is Joshua’s “Uncle William.”
Of course – he will always be MY baby William.
See – here’s the proof. Did I mention William LOVES Joshua? And LOVES being an uncle?
So Mommy wipes away a tear and gets out her hair cutting shears.
Presenting “Uncle William.”

Oh, Stacy, William looks so much older!

I understand the shedding a tear….my baby William (who is NINE!!!) had beautiful blonde hair when he was a baby. He’s an uncle now, too, of four, ages 6, 4, 3, and 1. He delights in being an uncle, too. I love family dynamics like this!
Uncle William looks so grown up with his new haircut, and doesn’t he look like his daddy!
He looks adorable. I remember giving those first ‘real boy’ haircuts. :o)
Mary Susan,
there’s something about that first haircut that makes them look so much older!
I cut my now three year old’s hair a couple of weeks after his second birthday, right before he became a big brother to his baby sister. I nearly cried watching those bouncy, blond curls falling on the kitchen floor.
By the way, Stacy, I admire any mother who will take SCISSORS to her children’s hair! I have a nifty set of clippers….
Beautiful pictures!!!
grace and peace,
julie
He does look much older but very handsome. Thanks for sharing. Blessings
Oh I know what you mean about him always being *your* baby. Our youngest is now 4 and he’s definitely still my baby.
No chance of him becoming an uncle soon either, since his oldest sibling is only 17 :-)

Oh my, what a handsome wee man you have. :o)
So handsome!!! You did a great job. :)
Oh my! Does he ever look more mature. Your William is just a doll and I’m partial to his name as I have a William as well. :)Alas, my boys have/had those beautiful locks too. My eldest’s hair is curly to boot, but he sports a short buzz these days. Save a lock of that precious hair for the memory box!
What a sweet transformation! Great way to share.
awww! he looks very cute with his new haircut. It does make him look older.
I perished to cut off my younger son’s locks the first time. He was a year old and had the cutest blonde curl in the back! Daddy said he looked like a girl though so I had to snip it off.
Precious! Both “your” baby and baby Joshua are cute as can be! :)
Blessings~~

ps. we are sorry to miss the tea this weekend. :( With gas prices so high, we are trying to cut back as much as we can. I will look forward to hearing about it.
Aww! I got a lump in my throat. William grew up before our very eyes! Bless his heart.
God bless,
Viv
Greetings from a lurker!
I have perused your blog many times and wanted to let you know I truly enjoy it. As a young wife/mother (Hmmm. . .I am 31. Am I still considered young? :-) with many of the same goals as you, your life is an inspiration to me. Blessings to your sweet family!

What a handsome uncle! The baby pictures were wonderful too. Such a beautiful baby – but since he is a boy don’t tell him I used the word ‘beautiful’ LOL.
Blessings,
