Are "Passionate Housewives" Desperate?
When my grandmother recently asked me, “What did you say the title of your new book was?” I told her, “Passionate Housewives Desperate for God.”
“I thought so,” she said. “but when I told so-and-so, they insisted, ‘You must have it wrong; Stacy wouldn’t have written a book with a name like that!’”
I’m assuming there was some confusion over our title and the popular night time drama, “Desperate Housewives.” However, that’s exactly the point.
If you’d like to hear how Jennie and I explain the difference between a “passionate housewife” and a “desperate housewife” click here to watch a video interview.

Stacy,
Thanks for that. Unfortunately it leaves me wanting more – thankfully it was titled “Interview 1″ – indicating there should be more to come!

Dear Stacy,
What a superb Preface to your book. I cannot wait to read it!
One of the burdens on my heart has been the “you need ‘me’ time” commentary that I constantly recceive as a mother to 7 treasures. Yes, a hot soak in a tub in the evening is nice…but I do not need one more retreat or shopping trip out just to be fulfilled. I think these things are ok in a balance….but if I were to look at them as though they were to be valued, and my job as wife and mother is drudgery, then I would be terribly decieved.
I believe that you and Jennie have been raised up for such a time as this. I have been praying for you both and your completion of the book ever since I remember Jennie mentioning a book (quite a while back- maybe on the LAF page? I cannot remember where now).
I know that you may be taking flak for this book….and I am so encouraged that you ladies, your husbands, and your families are strong and have the “courage of your convictions.” I know that our culture, and our homes will be blessed as a result of your efforts.
I rejoice with Jennie and Matt on their new blessing, and I rejoice with you, James, and your daughter and son-in-law on the upcoming birth of their blessing. May your homes continue to be blessed of the Lord!
In Christ’s boundless love,
Sarah E.

Well It is good to hear from you!

(And in Illinois? Am I wrong about that?)

I just wanted to say that I am really looking forward to reading your new book. I was blessed to win a copy being given away on another blog.
I really enjoyed the video and just posted about it on my blog. Could this be the beginnings of a movie venture??!!
Stacy, I did email you but haven’t heard from you yet, hope I sent it to the right address. You might just see our family at your event on Saturday–we are still working through all the details (like driving for 3 hours with 16 month old twins!)
Many blessings…
Hmm… I was going to ask if anyone else had been able to view the clip but it seems they have. For some reason I can’t though. I have tried several times in two or three different browsers since Doug posted it and I get a green box that when clicked on shuts down my browser immediatly. Any ideas on what might be wrong???
Thanks,
Nickey
Oh, nevermind my previous comment. I finally got it to come up with Explorer.
Thanks! I am looking forward to reading it.

Thanks for allowing us to download the preface!
