Blog Bombs!
My husband has some great thoughts on the importance of having a gracious spirit toward the brethren.
Friends, I encourage you to be gracious with one other. We should strive to vigorously promote the ideals and doctrines that we believe to be consistent with Scripture. If that means making a case for courtship or homeschooling or simple head coverings, great! Or, if that means another makes a case for dating or organized schools or frilly hats, wonderful! But, make the case! Work to build a biblical exegesis for your position rather than assaulting that of your brother or sister with ad hominem* blog-bombs. You can read the whole article here.

That was such a well written piece.
Thank you.
I am saving it to send out in future.
I am thinking of Romans 14 as I think about legalism…
It seems that the ones who were NOT eating the meat from idol worship were the ‘weak’ ones according to Paul. no?
and so, what i tell folks sometimes when my/our family’s ‘don’ts’ seem odd or weird (ie. not dating) or ‘legalistic’ then i just ask them to bear with me in my ‘weakness’.
I often wonder about conversations in heaven with God telling a large group of us, “You know what? Teens with ipods in their ears was really fine!!”
does that make sense…??
boasting in my weakness…
