We’re Grandparents!

Wow! Can you believe it? James and I are grandparents. Yes, you heard right – Daniel and Christa are expecting their first little blessing in the spring of next year. We have a house full of aunts and uncles and us two old people.

So, please rejoice with us as we experience God’s blessing once again…only this time in the form of our children’s children. Praise God!

After Daniel and Christa announced their news, our little Emma (4) looked at me with wide eyes. She said, “Mama, I’m going to be an aunt?”

I said, “Yes, Emma, you will be Auntie Em!”

She looked at me with eyes even wider than before, “I am? – While I’m still little?”

“Yes, Emma, while you’re still little.”

Apparently later, after a discussion with Christa, it was discovered that she thought I was to be the mother and Christa was going to be the baby’s sister. Christa is a sister after all.

Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward. Psalm 127:3
