Home from Jamestown!

We are busy resting and recovering from a long string of travels. After finishing up the Iowa homeschool conference we came home to sleep a few hours and head to Virginia for Vision Forum’s celebration of Jamestown’s Quadricentennial. What a God glorifying event! Four thousand people showed up to thank God for America’s providential history!

We are so grateful for the hard work and dedication of those at Vision Forum and all the volunteers who helped orchestrate this amazing event. For more details, don’t miss a visit to Carmen’s blog (she was the official reporter, after all!) http://buriedtreasurebooks.com/weblog/.

Also, my husband, James, gave two historical sermons in the Kimball Theatre in Colonial Williamsburg (in one he represented Samuel Davies and in the other George Whitfield). If you’d like to sneak a peek, CBN caught some of it on their news broadcast in this short video covering the Vision Forum event! (Don’t forget to press play) Jamestown Video

Jessica and Mom way too at home in Colonial garb!

Tiffany (21) and Jessica (16) two fair maidens off to sea!

Caleb (10) Still a bit young to be a midshipman, but practicing his most courageous stance anyway.

    Stacy,
I’m glad you enjoyed your visit to “my state” of virginia! I would have so loved to go up the Jamestown. We’ve lived here for almost 4 years now and we still haven’t made it out that way! I’m not going too far from home these days being 1 week from my due date! I followed the link to CBN where I was able to find your husband’s presentation! You all looked beautiful in your time period gowns. What talent you and your daughters have! I no longer have my blog as I have been trying to spend less time on the computer these days, but I still love reading your blog as well as your lovely daughter’s.
I am sure that although you enjoyed your visit here, you must be happy to be home!
    Blessings,
    Laura Dumais

    Hi,
Sorry we missed the chance to meet your family. We are in Crown Point, Indiana and were also at Jamestown. We enjoyed our time there as well. You can check out some pics on our son’s blogsite, http://www.globelens.com. His specialty is Creation Science and he is currently writing for World magazine. Hoping we can come and meet you all some time.

P.S. My friend, June Fuentes, shared your website with me–enjoying it:)
